This is some hideously dystopian shit from a company that we absolutely should expect better from. This isn't the first time I've heard of this happening, either.

I had not noticed that Affinity shut down their forums but of course they did.
"THESE FORUMS ARE NOW READ-ONLY"
Okay, not "shut down" but they now prevent their users from talking to each other and tell you to fill out a form to get support.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the the #enshittification metaphor in general (because it elides how shitty these systems always have been for people with disabilities, trans people, Black and Indigenous people etc) ... but in this case I think it's quite apt!
